Guest Commentary by Dr. Frank Joseph
I have often wondered, how do people like Barack Hussein Obama end their speeches with, "God Bless America" and still have a straight face. Here's a man, Obama, who believes that women should have the right to kill their unborn and partially-born children and, in Obama's case, he even wants children to be killed after they have been born by denying them treatment if they survive an abortion. And then he has the nerve to even mention God and ask God to bless America, no less. A country, because of people like Obama, who want God's innocent children to be killed. What gall! This is what is known as, "mocking God."
As Obama was promising the country the moon during his acceptance speech, I kept looking at his head to see if horns would soon appear because he certainly is doing the work of Satan. How in the world can a person be that cruel to other human beings?
True, Obama possesses rhetorical skills, but so did Hitler and we know what happened there. It's easy to win over people when you promise them the moon. Obama's redistribution of wealth would make Lenin and Trotsky proud. This is the change he is talking about, but you have to listen carefully.
For over 230 years, our capitalistic society has been working just great. Just because our economy is faltering somewhat now, means nothing. These are the phases that a capitalistic society has to go through from time to time. Nothing keeps going straight up. Obama trashes big business, yet it's big business that hires people, not to mention that it's the people who own big business via stocks.
Isn't it odd that the very society that gave Obama an education and a chance to run for the presidency, is the society that Obama wants to change?
Under Bush, unemployment hit an all time low. Home ownership hit an all time high. Under Bush, with his enactment of the Patriot Act and the NSA Surveillance Program, we have NOT been attacked since 9-11-01. No one thought this was possible. The very policies that have kept America safe, Obama and the Democrats want to rescind.
Had Obama been president on 9-11, you can bet your bottom dollar that we would have been attacked again. There would have been no Patriot Act and no NSA Surveillance Program. You see, Democrats think it's awful that phone calls from terrorists abroad to terrorists in the United States are listened to, even though these interceptions of calls have already prevented further attacks. I wonder why Bush never gets credit for this, as the first job of a president is to keep the American people safe and that Bush has done.
Here are just a few of the most important pro-life policies enacted under President Bush which will be rescinded by Obama, as he has so promised, if elected, not to mention that Obama promised Planned Parenthood that he will pick pro-abortion judges to the Supreme Court and Appellate Courts.
The MEXICO CITY POLICY
The Mexico City Policy, initiated by President Reagan in 1986, prohibits federal population-aid funds from going to foreign nongovernmental organizations that commit or promote abortion. It was revoked by President Clinton, but Congress voted repeatedly during the Clinton years to apply this limitation legislatively. President Bush restored the Mexico City Policy on January 22, 2001.
BORN-ALIVE INFANTS PROTECTION ACT (BAIPA)
To give treatment to babies who have survived an abortion. We know that Obama is dead set against this.
STEM-CELL EXPERIMENTATION
President Bush’s first major address to the nation, in August 2001, was on the subject of research on stem cells taken from human embryos. In it, Bush reiterated his commitment to the sanctity of human life, and then announced that he would allow federal funds to be used for research on cell lines derived from stem cells taken from embryos who had been killed prior to that date (August 9, 2001), but not on cell lines from embryos killed later than that date.
ABSTINENCE
President Bush is the Abstinence President. He is not afraid of this issue. He talks about it, demands a fair level of funding for it, and has tried to ensure that people who really do support the concept administer the federal programs for abstinence education.
S-CHIP
One of the first and most imaginative administrative acts of the Bush administration with regard to life issues was a regulation defining unborn children as eligible recipients of services under the State Child Health Insurance Plan (S-CHIP), which allows state Medicaid funds to be used to provide health coverage for children who are otherwise uninsured.
PARTIAL-BIRTH ABORTION BAN
After an eight-year legislative battle, President Bush signed the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act in 2003. This outlawed all partial-birth abortion except in instances where the procedure would be necessary to save the life of the mother. At the signing, President Bush clearly stated that this Act confronted the violence against innocent children in our nation. The Department of Justice is vigorously defending the law in the courts against the abortion lobby’s inevitable challenges.
ADOPTION
The Bush administration has implemented the new Infant Adoption Awareness Act by engaging the National Council for Adoption and pregnancy help centers across the country -– the best partners it could possibly have. This administration gives every indication about being serious in promoting adoption, including a web site that has facilitated more than 3,000 adoptions, conferences to engage the faith-based community in adoption, and a public-service advertising campaign to promote adoptions, especially of children in foster care.
IF OBAMA BECOMES PRESIDENT, THE DEVIL WINS. IT'S AS SIMPLE AS ALL THAT.
