Greetings in the Lord,

 

The Springfield Nativity Scene Committee is pleased to announce a Nativity Scene will again stand in Illinois’ state Capitol.  Last year was the first time in Illinois history such a religious display stood in the state capitol Rotunda Building.  Statues of Joseph, Mary and the baby Jesus stood in a handcrafted manger. The three handcrafted marble statues were made in Italy.  The project was underwritten by the Chicago-based Thomas More Society and its President, Tom Brejcha.  This year the Illinois Family Institute has joined the SNSC as a special benefactor of the project.  The SNSC is still paying the bills for last year's event and we need your help, not only for this year, but to ensure the Nativity scene will be on display for years to come. 

Many Illinois residents are facing financial hardships.  However, your support of the Springfield Nativity Scene will not only help celebrate the Christmas season, but it will help support a display--for now and in the future--which sends a message that America and its prosperity are due to God’s blessings.  Any donation you can make will be deeply appreciated, no matter how big or how small.   

Checks should be made payable to the “Springfield Nativity Scene Committee” and on the memo line write Thomas More Society.  Contributions should be mailed to:  Daniel Zanoza, Chairman, Springfield Nativity Scene Committee, 904 21st St., # 71, Lincoln, IL 62656. 

 

For those who would like to make a tax deductible contribution to the Springfield Nativity Scene Committee and have a PayPal account, please go to the Thomas More Society's (TMS) web page http://www.thomasmoresociety.org/ and click on "Donate".  Those who electronically contribute to the Springfield Nativity Scene Committee through the TMS website should make a special notation that their donation is meant for the Springfield Nativity Scene.
